Whoami
I'm Jordan. I'm a guy who lives in NYC with my wife and daughter.
Currently I'm into:
- Strongman: Training Strongman this summer to try out for Official Strongman Games Online Qualifier (Fingers crossed I get top 10!)
- Reading: Working on keeping pace of reading 4 3 books a month (This year I've joined a book club for Non-Fiction so the reading is slower but I find more rewarding!)
- Tech:: Having fun expanding my homelab (Porting everything over to NixOs currently)
- Tech: Finally jumped into Pubnix spaces and I've been having fun building out my gopher hole. I'll eventually tinker with dual posting which will be fun!
- TTRPG:: Trying to not backburner some Solo TTRPG action I'd like to do
Life Currently
Life is busy but great! Chasing a toddler and juggling work and hobbies keeps me busy!
Projects
- Lootbot - I have a weekly game that's been running ~18 months as we descend into the depths of Arden Vul and my GM requested us to take over the responsibility of loot recording. Boom, now I'm working on a fun little discord bot that does a bunch of features for our game
- Homelab - With a homelab there's always something to tinker on. I'll be solo here in NYC soon for a week so going to tackle VLANs with OPNSense on a mini-PC I just grabbed. I want to pillar things rationally as I need to start opening up some things to the public so will be a great fun project!
- This Blog - What you're reading this on now! I've started a journey that's been brewing around casting off big tech for a couple years and it's been getting better with each decision. I've started creating again and finally shifted to wanting to write again instead of just passively reading. So I'm here to work on that! Long form writing and also mini essays to help retain what I'm reading.
